Many thanks to the Committee for inviting me to judge this show. I was very pleased with my entry and thank all competitors who entered under me. I really enjoyed my day and thank you for the opportunity to judge your dogs. All temperaments were good, as were mouths. No kinked tails.

1st: Wadesleia Mr Herriot (Mrs H A & Mr A Fletcher) Just 6 month G/T. Nice size puppy with a good coat, feet and tail. Promising head with a dark eye. Quality pup who moved well and with confidence. Best Puppy Dog

1st: Stineval Staccato (Mr A & Mrs C Horner) 11month G/T, racier than Minor Puppy and a little longer in the face but with a good expression. Good coat and tail. Enjoying his day out.

Junior – Dog Entries: 4 Absentees: 1

1st: Akenside Cumin (Ms L Gosling) Nice sized Border in excellent coat who made a perfect picture both in stance and moving. Correct bite, good tight feet, thick pelt, good shoulders.

2nd: Brackenfell Bok To Bach (Mr C Hall & Miss L Ellis) Taller and Rangier than winner, 11 mths red grizzle not in enough coat today.

3rd: Riseburn Retro (Miss C Tutin)

Special Beginners – Dog Entries: 6 Absentees: 4

1st: Jamespaw Georgie Boy (Miss A J Robinson) G/T in gd coat but would have benefitted from a tidy. Nice size who was spannable. Strong muzzle with correct bite. Good layback of shoulder with tail set on well. Lots to like.

2nd: Thorneyburn Peace Pipe (Mr M & Mrs A J Carr) Racy G/T with good head, not a lot of coat today and a little taller than winner.

1st: Derwenthow Basil Brightberry (Mrs S E Roberts) My notes say ‘all dog’. Strong head and muzzle with good expression. Nice shoulder continuing into good topline with thick pelt. Narrow throughout.

2nd: Vito Volterra Of Birthwaite (Miss S Clayton) Smaller dog with coat not at it’s best. Nice expression with strong muzzle, feet good, moved OK.

Post Graduate – Dog Entries: 13 Absentees: 4

1st: Keycharm Phantom by Ridgebow JW (Mr N Duxbury) Substantial  G/t  of nice size, plenty of bone, presented in excellent coat, good mouth, very strong jaw. Level topline into carroty tail. Well angulated and good mover.

2nd: Blues Boy At Brackenfell (Mr C Hall & Miss L Ellis) Taller dog than winner but still a lot to like. Head good with strong jaw. Length of rib OK.

3rd: Brumborder River Skipper at Shiftyfox (Mr G Widey)

1st: Lairehope Lord of the Glen At Tweedburn (Mrs C Archibald) Lovely narrow G/T in excellent coat  with good shoulder, lovely head and muzzle. Good set on tail. Moved well.

2nd: Ravenside Going Underground (Mr M Lowry) Big teeth on correct  bite and nice expression. Lovely shoulders with good topline. Looks lovely in profile. Didn’t move as good as winner today.

3rd: Oughterside Mintys Pride (Mr R W Scott)

1st: Rus/Slo/Rom CH Stella Rover Akko (Ms M A Privezentseva) First word of my notes say ‘gorgeous’ . This dog was turned out to a ‘T’. Lovely head and expression. Excellent shoulder, narrow throughout. Easily spannable. Good tail carriage. He filled the eye in profile and movement.  Quality. Handled well. Best Dog and Best In Show

2nd: Earthwise Wolfbane JW ShCM (Mr E J Houston) G/t with good head and correct bite. Lovely shoulder, narrow, good tailset and feet, moved well. Reserve Best Dog

3rd: Derwenthow Basil Brightberry (Mrs S E Roberts)

Two lovely pups, oozing confidence and quality, both in good coat

1st:Chorbeck Snow Angel (Mrs H Haughton) Strong short muzzle, level topline, good length of rib, good tailset, moved well.

2nd:Keycharm Summer Fox At Ravenside (Mr M Lowry) Dark grizzle with short muzzle, longer in loin than winner. Nothing much to split these two pups, they could change places another day.

1st: Picer Ethelburga (Mr G & Mrs S Pickering) 11mths G/t of superb quality. Narrow throughout with good length of rib. Varminty expression with close falling ears on good head. Good rear angulation, correct tail. Excellent feet. Best Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy In Show

2nd: Foxcraig Magic Bubbles (Mr G R Sugars) Good head, topline and tail. Pleasing rear angulation, nice feet.

3rd: Keycharm Deep Secret by Ridgebow (Mr N Duxbury)

1st: Akenside Calypso (Ms L Gosling) 16 mth B/T with lovely ticking, a very well balanced dog, strong muzzle, narrow in movement, lovely feet. Excellent coat.

2nd: Doreen Of Lindale Via Otterbobs (Mr J Gilpin) Lovely G/T with good head and angulation. Superb feet.

Two lovely bitches both with strong muzzles and big teeth, lots to like about both, they could change places another time.

3rd: Brackenfell I Go To Pieces (Lister)

1st: Merumhor Suzy Snowflake at Lexmar (Mrs A & Mr M Hayes) Nice sized 3 yr old B/T with super ticking, lovely head and neck into good shoulder, narrow throughout. Good tailset. Tight feet. Movement good.

2nd: Wings of Speed (Miss A Dixon) Lovely expression on this good sized bitch. Presentation could be improved.

Merumhor Solstice Belle JW ShCM (Mr & Mrs C Martin) Have judged this B/T before and she doesn’t disappoint. Excellent ticking. Lovely head and expression, strong jaw, nice lines to her with good layback of shoulder, lovely feet. Best Bitch and Reserve Best In Show

2nd: Picer Gilliflower (Mr G & Mrs S Pickering) Taller than winner but this doesn’t distract. Solid dog with super expression, very fit, lovely profile, good angles. Reserve Best Bitch

3rd: Vallemoss Drama Queen via Saxheath (Mr L & Mrs S Moss)
